Hollis Street Church (second) is dedicated.
August 31, 1788
[1793] Architect: Charles Bulfinch. It is located near today’s 704 Washington Street (then 14 Hollis Street). The first building built from plans by Charles Bulfinch, it is replaced by a new building (third) in 1810.* The original building is disassembled, floated on a barge to Braintree, and rebuilt there in 1811.
